One town line, three different jobs.
The beach houses
Full salt exposure and, in places, houses that sit unheated through the winter. Marine-grade primers, coatings chosen for the side that faces the water, and a caulking schedule that assumes every joint will move. Done cheaply, these are the shortest-lived paint jobs in the state.
The village houses
Mill-era houses on tight lots, a mile or two back from the water and mostly sheltered from the salt. Here the problem is age rather than exposure: old clapboard, old glazing putty, and a good chance of lead under the last few coats.
Farmhouses and new builds
Inland, shaded, and damp on north-facing walls, so moss and mildew rather than salt. Different washing, different primer, and a color conversation that accounts for how little direct light some of these houses get.

Senn Painting was founded in West Kingston, Rhode Island in 1999 by Mason Senn, on the belief that a paint job deserves the same precision and respect as any piece of fine work. Over 27 years, Mason has completed more than 200 projects across the coastal communities of southern Rhode Island.
What started as a one-man operation built on word-of-mouth referrals has grown into a team of trained finishers who hold to the same standard. Mason is still on site.
